  1. If we miss out on noel and porter, I think we gotta go with Dipo. We need perimeter defense. He could be like Tony Allen, guarding the best perimeter player of the opposing team, from Chris Paul to KD. Bring Dion off the bench a la Ginobli and our backcourt is stacked! Great stuff as always, boys.

    1. I totally hear you. You can't ignore great talent and as close as you can get to a sure thing for a solid contributor for "need".

    2. If the scouts and Grant think Oladipo is a tier above whatever else is on the board, then I think you almost have to. It certainly creates a long-term logjam that would have to be addressed, but picks are assets and in lieu of better options it's probably best to pick the most valuable asset remaining rather that reach for need.

Or maybe if Dipo is the guy on the board, Grant could put together a trade...perhaps Oladipo and both 2nd rounders to Utah for Gordon Hayward and the Jazz's 14th pick. Then you can come out of the draft with Hayward (who serves as a nice foil to Gee's strengths/weaknesses) and maybe Dieng at 14 and Saric/Kasarev at 19. I'd be cool with that...would Utah?

    3. And I do think a Kyrie, Dion, Dipo rotation would be absolutely insane--especially if Grant can add some serious length and rim protection to the roster with the bigs. That would allow all three to play at the same time for spurts and not be a complete defensive liability.
